Holmesdale Chief Executive moves on to new pastures

Holmesdale Building Society has announced that David Jervis left the Society as Chief Executive by mutual agreement on 6th October 2017.
David joined the Holmesdale Building Society in 2014 to lead a turnaround of the business. He implemented a new corporate strategy that has been successful, resulting in an asset growth of 28%. The Society is now 3rd in the league table of profitability for Building Societies in relation to asset size.
Commenting on David’s departure, Holmesdale’s Chairman, Joanne Hindle said, “David has been instrumental in transforming Holmesdale, which in the last two years achieved record performance. On behalf of the Board I would like to take this opportunity to thank David for the considerable effort that he has put into his role and everything that has been achieved. We wish him all the very best for his future next steps.”
David Jervis commented, “I believe the time is right for a new CEO to take the Society through its next phase of development and for me to seek new opportunities. I have enjoyed my three years at the Holmesdale and wish the Society, the Board and the staff every success for the future.”
The Board has appointed non-executive director, Mike McDermott as interim Chief Executive.
