Holmesdale Building Society announces proposed merger with Skipton.

The Holmesdale has announced plans to merge with the Skipton, the UK’s 4th largest Building Society. This is subject to Holmesdale members voting in favour of the merger at the AGM and confirmation by the Prudential Regulatory Authority. In the meantime, the Holmesdale will continue to operate as normal.
New and existing mortgage applications will continue to be dealt with by the Holmesdale mortgage team until the merger becomes fully effective. This is expected to be on 1st October 2018 when all mortgage processing is planned to transfer on this date, or soon thereafter, to the Skipton Building Society.
